Cause-based clothing company, Agape North, is celebrating their 10,000th uniform donation by hosting an open house in their new showroom located in Germantown, TN (9030 Poplar Pike Suite 107).
For each shirt Agape North sells, they donate school uniforms to students around the world. Founders, Joe Williams and Richard Bennett started Agape North in the summer of 2010 and went international for their first two donations in 2012.

Once Williams saw the need for clean and high-quality student uniforms across the globe, he noticed the same problem right here in Memphis and wanted to make a change on a local level.
Agape North has their own line of clothing they sell, but mainly customizes products for businesses, churches, non-profits, schools, etc. This gives organizations the ability to donate uniforms to local students just by using Agape North as the vendor on apparel they are already purchasing.
Since then, Agape North has donated 8,000 uniforms to children in the Memphis area attending the Achievement School District, KIPP Memphis, Cornerstone Prep and additional Memphis area schools.

Agape North also works with students in Memphis for their Students Helping Students campaign where they can compete with their peers to see how many shirts they can sell to then donate to school children in need.

Williams said Agape North wants to provide their customers with high quality clothing that compares to some of the fashion industry’s top clothing lines while giving back to the local and global community.

“Education is the key to helping improve children's lives forever. You have the opportunity to help a child have the uniform they need to get an education by supporting our cause.” Said Williams.

The community is invited to the open house on Saturday, August 16, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Agape North showroom, 9030 Poplar Pike Suite 107 Germantown, TN.
There will be refreshments served, Agape North apparel for purchase, examples of customize apparel done, and a chance to mingle with those who’ve used Agape North to purchase shirts and receive donations.

9 Quotes That Inspired Me At #PlyPresents

This past week I gathered with 650 other creatives, difference makers, and socialpreneurs at the legendary Fox Theatre in Atlanta to be inspired and challenged by over a dozen speakers to continue to problem solve and improve the world we live in.
I love traveling to Atlanta each year for this conference because it pushes me to get out from behind my laptop and meet like-minded creatives.
I consider it the Creatives Church Camp... and for people like me who work 50+ hours a week in the creative field, it's a welcoming few days.
Here are nine quotes that inspired me at this year's event and special thanks to Jeff Shinabarger for continuing to inspire me through his books, talks, and putting on such inspiring conferences.
