A new food truck, Good Heavens, hit the Memphis streets this week offering up some delicious and fresh food made from locally sourced produce and meats. The wife and husband Doty team created Good Heavens to bring food back to its roots and boy did they excite my taste buds and fill me up with some fresh fish and veggies. Teammate, Kyle Taylor, and I drooled over today's special when the photo popped up on Facebook so we hurried our way to the truck, located on Madison & McLean and devoured our lunch (see below). In addition to carrying La Michoacána Paletas, their menu items include burgers made from Claybrook Farms ground beef like The Grindhouse Burger; fresh tortilla wraps, open face tamales, and salads. Each month, part of Good Heavens' proceeds will be donated to a different local nonprofit organization. View the hours / location here. Follow the Good Heavens Food Truck on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for special events, schedule changes, daily specials and more. Food should bring us great joy and pleasure as well as nutrients we need to sustain healthy lives. Our food should come from people and places we know that use practices and ingredients we can trust. - Good Heavens |
