![]() A shot of the Newks in Springfield, MO that I took. Tonight I just got home from moving Eric to Springfield, Missouri with my dad so he can manage the upcoming Newk's that is being built in the Battlefield Mall area. I figured this blog would be a lot easier to share photos, videos and how it went than everyone trying to keep up with different blogs and what not. Many people are asking "Is it weird for your twin to move across two states when you are accustomed to being a short distance away?" The answer is: of course It is. Who wouldn't be? But as far as me wondering if he made the right decision, I know he did. Springfield, Missouri is located in the Ozarks region of Missouri and it is nestled just a short distance (roughly 30 miles) away from Branson, MO. It is a huge city with lots of restaurants and eateries with a niche for green and outdoor living. Everywhere you look, there are trails, parks, people walking/biking and different outdoor/indoor recreational activities including a cool place called Divercation where you can scuba dive inside...... I want to go sometime!! Click "Read More" to see the slideshows......... This week I participated in a t-shirt design contest for the Memphis Non-Profit, Project Green Fork.
According to www.projectgreenfork.org, "Project Green Fork contributes to a sustainable Mid-South by helping reduce environmental impacts, with a focus on strengthening homegrown restaurants." During the month of February, Project Green Fork announced a t-shirt design contest on their website. The goal for the contest was to design a new PGF tee shirt to sell at their events and online store. The idea could be a slogan, a picture or a design. After brainstorming for awhile, I came up with seven different examples that you can see below. Next week (March 5-9), PGF will select the top 3 shirts out of all of the submissions and have their fans vote for their favorite. Please keep an eye out the next few days on PGF's website at: www.projectgreenfork.org to see if any of the designs below made the cut. |
